Summary/Abstract: The link between values and ecological behaviors are centered mainly on Schwartz value categories. Self-transcendence and openness to change are positively correlated with ecological behavior (r = 0.821, p<0.0001). Interpretation of cultural differences regarding attitudes towards environmental attitudes results from the different importance of social relations. The study of these problems in psychology has as a foundation the research on the diffusion of social responsibility.
