Summary/Abstract: At the and of the 19th century, Tekfurdağõ Sanjak had an strategical importance in the view of it’s location. Because of piers, railways and higways on it’s borders, it was a bridge between capital city İstanbul and Balkans. At this study, Tekfurdağõ Sanjak’s social and economical status is analyzed within a scientic discipline which is based on Edirne province’s annuals that belong to the years betweenn 1890 and 1902. In the introduction part of the study, the importance of annulas in history is mentioned, and then, the source of the name of Tekfurdağõ Sanjak, it’s geography, location, population, countys, townships, railways, mosques, churches, neighborhoods, shops, stores, fountains, furnaces, hans, baths, pubs, casinos and warehouses are mentioned. As the economic status of Tekfurdağõ Sanjak’s incomes and expenses, mines, agriculture and livestock, port authority, bazaar of trades, fairs are examined. The Starboord’s incomes and expenses are compared to other sanjaks in Edirne by tables. By this way, Tekfurdağõ Starboord’s economic status in the Edirne province has been determined. Concerning the social structure, starboord’s administrative organizationals, population, educational positions were examinated. Concerning population, muslim, greek and Armenian’s population were examined in relation to the period under discussion. Different tables, graffich about muslim and non-muslim population were edited. Concerning education part, İslam, Greek, Bulgarian, Jewish, Catholic, Protestant and Armenians in the sanjak were examined. The number of students and teachers in the schools was examined with tables.
