Summary/Abstract: The article underlines the necessity of finding a dedicated method in guiding young students towards a better understanding of the features of the performing artist and his special way of understanding and dealing with the realities he is faced with – the „here and now”. The methods in studying the art of acting, especially at a young age, and taking into account nowadays living should focus on personal development within the coordinates of the realm of the performing arts. Psychology and pedagogy both dwell on personal development and, as the actor is his own instrument, we should find the way of improving the instrument especially as it is being again and again put out of tune when faced with every day realities.
