Summary/Abstract: The Wooster Group is a company of artists founded in 1980, whose leader is theatre director Elizabeth LeCompte. They are based in New York City at The Performing Garage, 33 Wooster Street, where they develop and perform their work. They also perform at larger theatres in New York such as St. Ann's Warehouse, Baryshnikov Arts Center or The Public Theatre. Their productions tour nationally and internationally.
