Summary/Abstract: This article follows the journey of the same story through different artistic media: film – literature – theatre. The architecture of change is analysed along side with the unifying center, both of them outlining that specific universe of instruments by which every art lays down its special mark in revealing the same set of events, but also a curious map of overlapped boundaries. The narrative lines present instances of human time scattered between birth and death, love and hate, freedom and constraints. „Time to Love, Time to Die” shifts from Peter Gothar’s movie into the writing of Fritz Kater, and finally reaches the theatre stage where it is directed by Radu Alexandru Nica. This marks an outstanding path through arts and authors. This rare artistic voyage of a story becomes rich analysis material for every medium involved; revealing not only the endless possibilities of interdisciplinarity, but also a unique interpretation process over a legacy of ideas in their passage from art to art.
