Summary/Abstract: The Romanian political regime has represented an essential reference point during the period 1866-1914, achieving to open even nowadays new research questions. The purpose of this article is to analyze the transfer of power, pointing out the relation of Charles I with the liberals and conservatives, regarding the governmental mechanism in that time, leading without doubt to the consolidation of the Romanian modern state.
