Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to show how the term political correctness functions in contemporary Polish language - how frequently it occurs and how it is understood. Selected daily newspapers, magazines, an electronic corpus of texts, dictionaries and Internet constitute the data base for the analysis. Cognitive profiling is the method used here.
