Summary/Abstract: It is difficult to identify the first Italian who arrived in the Romanian Countries as the Italian emigration starts with Iulius Cezar epoch. Around 1877, in Bucharest there were 1000 Italians, merchants, builders, engineers, housekeepers, contractors, doctors, architects and artists, they were very well integrated in the Romanian business society. Architects as Giulio Magni, Domenico Rupolo and Mario Stoppa gave their contribution to the architectural image of Bucharest in numerous erected private and public buildings. The recent studies kept in consideration the Italian contribution to the development of Romanian society and its modern culture.
