BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS AS A TOOL SUPPORTING DECISION MAKING PROCESS IN ENTERPRISES. REVIEW OF FINANCIAL AND ENERGY BRANCHES CASE STUDIES

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the utilization of Business Intelligence systems as a tool supporting decision making processes in enterprises. There is presented short description of BI systems, its construction and basic applications in enterprises of different business lines. Then there are presented possibilities of supporting the decision-making by BI system, where the Business Pressures-Responses-Support model of decision support is presented. Business Intelligence systems are applied in many branches, what is shown in financial and energy business lines case studies.
