Summary/Abstract: The term folklore is one of the least precise and functional concepts of the humanities. Its use for analysis in the polish discourse, the history or terms method in Reinhart Koselleck’s approach enables one to grasp the changes serviced by meanings and connected with them horizons of human experiences – from the first folklorists who researched "the folk knowledge" in times of high development in its culture, through explorers of secondary folklore operating in socialism meant as folk artistic output, to current authors who underline its intersocial and common character.
