Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to explain the role of Dostoevky’s holy fools and clowns (in his major novels) with the specific character of his Christian faith. The Christian κένωσις and the self-humiliation of the fool are both used by Dostoevsky for his experiments with the supreme ideas – experiments motivated by his love to Christ as well as to the world here and now.
