Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to analyze an issue Romania is facing at present, namely the phenomenon of integrating foreigners into the community, both from the perspective of governmental policies, and from the point of view of implementing these policies into practice. The analysis carried out in order to develop this study is based on the primary legal framework applicable to foreigners who desire to exercise their right to work in Romania. Also, special attention is given to the proceedings which should be followed by both the person who wants to work, the employer and the public authorities involved. We think that this article represents an important step in the disclosure of the problem raised by appliance of right to work on national level in the context of European integration and legislative armonisation
