Summary/Abstract: The article reveals the basic features causing the showing up of the phenomenon of „informational fetishism": digitalization, interaction and globalization. Together with these has been formed the so called „digital culture" in communication, which allows the revealing of analogies in the behaviour df the contemporary human - „net man" and the man from the street - the „street man" of Alfred ;Shutz. The following features characterize the behaviour of the „informational fetishism" type: comnformity settings, indifferent openness, anti-cognition, and inability for the reproducing of knowledge. There has been proposed the definition of „informational culture": the level of individual perfec¬tion in the work with the information needed: receiving, decoding, saving, reproducing, systematizing, creating a new cognition, passing it along and causing its practical utilization. The basic requirements towards the elite informational culture of the net man have been outlining.
