Globalization of innovation and a new dimension in technology transfer

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to identify the correlation between global market changes and geographical dispersion of innovation activities of enterprises, as well as seen in this context, a new dimension of technology transfer − limited to discrete phases of the production process. The problems of global dimension of innovation processes in particular with regard to vertical fragmentation and disintegration of the production process have been discussed. The analysis of the consequences of globalization for the classical model of the product cycle and their importance for companies have been conducted. The determinants of technology transfer concerning selected theoretical concepts explaining the growth and regional development have been identified.
