Summary/Abstract: Basing on archive and other documents the author shows the difficult social-political situation in 1920—1930-s in Soviet Belarus where scientific and educational activity of the first professors and collaborators of Belorus-sian state university who came to Russia from Minsk took place. The work shows the tragic destiny of some university intelligentsia members (V. I. Picheta, D. P. Konchalovsky, D. A. Zharinov, M. B. Golman), which is typical for many hundreds of historians and specialists of social science of that time. The work points out the analysis of internal and external begin-nings that forced the «old» professorship to achieve Marxism and the whole ideology of the Soviet regime as well as deny (openly or closely) the «only true» learning
