Islam – what is it?

Summary/Abstract: In this text, the author present what Islam is to him and what it is not. He then states that no inhuman attitude towards a Christian can be justified on the basis of the Qur'an. According to him, a Christian is protected by any inhumane act of the Islamic world through his Christian identity, which he has in the Qur'an. The Islamic society, which held this identity in high esteem (surah III, 64), could not wage a jihad against Christians, be it large or small, or to opt for forceful Islamisation.
