Summary/Abstract: Educational conflict appears inevitably during the educational process, entailling control, means of solving it and superior acquisitions to the previously existing ones. The use of conflict in the educational system is complex and implies, as far as the teaching staff is concerned, building up working instruments that lead to positive results and have impact upon educational performances. Identifying the sources of confict is highly important for efficient communication. Using conflict within the framework required by the educational process makes the analysis of the strategies that cause, prevent and reduce conflict necessary, involving conflict solving through negotiantion and mediation.. The process of negociation leads to solutions of conflicts achieved through initiating dialogue between young people, building up empathy towards each other. On the other hand, mediation involves teaching staff”s involvment, unbiased by the parts in conflict, in solving it, facilitating communication and offering suggestions. Due to the fact that many conflicts appearing in schools are percieved by the teaching staff as sources of disturbance of the educational process, I intend to present several situations that cause conflict in schools, analysing the consequences that lead to supperior acquisitions and the methods through which the negative forms of these conflicts may lead to positive effects.
