Summary/Abstract: The article is based on the analysis of source materials kept in the State archive of Venice (primarily the last wills) and the existing results of previous historiography. Basic components from the past of the emigrants from Zeta in Venice have been analysed in details based on these sources and literature: chronological scope of their presence and agency in Venice, the way they were recorded in sources, places of their residence, professions and economic potential, ties of family and friendship and their relationships with the Venetian ecclesiastical institutions and members of the clergy. Particular attention has been awarded to the forms of communication of the immigrants from Zeta with their compatriots, as well as to the relationships they formed with the immigrants coming from other areas of the eastern Adriatic. The examples of connections of the immigrants from Zeta to the Venetian ecclesiastical institutions (both those Catholic and those of the Orthodox Church in Venice), which are particularly informative, have been presented, as well as their ties to the churches and monasteries in the old homeland. The article concludes that the immigrants from Zeta in the capital of the Serrenissima formed a very important and socially active immigrant community and that their migrations on the Italian coast were an integral part of wider migratory movements between the two Adriatic shores during the period of the Late Middle Ages and early Modern Age.
