Summary/Abstract: Nicholas Sarkozy, Traian Băsescu... apparently the mentioned heads of France and respectively Romania have little things in common. Indeed, Sarkozy is well known for his extravagance and passion for women, while Băsescu is being listed as the sailor man, who managed to become president. Both of them reinvented the way that a head of state could behave himself. The distinction established by Ernst Kantorowitz between the „two bodies” of a King has been altered: the spiritual, untouched body has changed into a very concrete physical body. This new body enjoys dragging all media’s attention upon it, breaking apart the idea of what a president should do. Being wrong, being right is an insignificant matter, Sarkozy and Băsescu succeeded to crystallize energies to an unattainable level.
