Summary/Abstract: The authors in this paper present the work and activities of the central national Study Section for Croatian as a Foreign and Second Language "Croaticum", the longtime experiences with nonnative speakers of Croatian language as well as plans for further development and improvement. The authors reflect on current expert research of ,Croaticum" employees in the field of Croatian as a Foreign and Second Language and the concept of national exams for foreigners and nonnative speakers of Croatian language
