Death penalty in the context of today`s society

Summary/Abstract: Decree Law No. 6 of January 7, 1990 to abolish the death penalty, to amend and repeal certain provisions of the Penal Code and other laws, stipulate: death penalty provided in the Penal Code and special laws for some crimes, is abolished and replaced with life sentence. Even if our country has abolished the death penalty, there are coutries where it is applied. Seen as a form of revenge for the human right advocates or as a form of true justice, especialy for the family victim (s), this issue involves controversial discutions on here edge. This mesure was rejected in the European Charter of Human Rights, concidering that a person`s life is a supreme value and it must be respected. From serial killers to latest crimes committed by religious goaunds, to descover wich are the best solutions to curb crime, is the most important issue that world must solve today. Professor Francois Perroux said ,,The human species will become more human when man will give up killingl.” Man set in motion his entire science and intelligence to climb on the highest level in the art of killing. Innate cruelty of man has never received a field exercise so complex as today and is so- called legal death.
