Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the transformation of national ideas in such countries as Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina after the collapse of Yugoslavia, where the escape from the unionist ideas takes place and the renaissance of the variously motivated and argumented ideas of exclusiveness follows. The dynamic cultures of the Slav South create new and timely – due to the internal and external context – canons of the national models of culture, placed in a wider context of the philosophical and historiosophical thought.
