Summary/Abstract: The concept of the Croatian war writing was founded on the literary historical literature, and is related to the literary works dealing with the Croatian War of Independence. This paper first searches the scientific foundations of the concept of the Croatian war writing, and brings a survey of the most important works belonging to this literary phenomenon in the Croatian literature in general, and then it proceeds to setting forth the results of the historical-literary research about the works of the Croatian writers from Bosnian Posavina who have published their works belonging to the war writing of the Croatian people. The thought of departure is that it was in Bosnian Posavina that the Croatian war writing was being created, that is, it was here that the literary and documentary works treating the war reality came into being. Such works, when it comes to literature, were realised in various literary genres and types – from lyric and epic poetry to the narrative prose and novel.
