Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the research was to present dairy cooperatives during Polish membership in the European Union. Data received from a questionnaire, Central Statistical Office data, Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics’ research results (IAFE), and research literature were used as research material. Particular attention was paid to the number of employees, average purchase price of a liter of milk, as well as to causes and effects of pro-environmental actions in dairy cooperatives. It was concluded that Polish membership in the European Union has had a positive impact on dairy cooperatives.
