Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of innovation activity in the Polish food industry enterprises. In the studied period, tabacoo industry had the highest rate of companies that introduced innovations (for all types of innovation, with the exception of marketing innovation) and food industry the lowest. The analysis showed low participation of revenue from sales of new or significantly improved products in total sales revenue. This means that the innovative activity of companies surveyed is not much reflected in the financial results of these companies.
