Summary/Abstract: Angels are still a topic for the 21th Century, from Raphael`s chubby faced children, wearing wings, to unidentified light entities in some amateur photos. Literature adds more mystery to the Angels` gallery, getting farther from the theological image. Artists of all kinds, poets, make use and abuse of Angelic images with unexpected appearances, revelations or merely creations of human mind, starting from the mythological elementary role as a divine adjuvant to predominantly feminine figures, all gathered in a kind of erotic reservation. Sinful from the beginning to the end, the artist, generating himself the discourse, not inspired by divine revelation like the angel, tries to find a creative pal, calling or banishing the angel, as the message went by. Some writers saw the human in the angel, a meek figure, others feared him as an avenger, insensible to human grief, an original call of the angels connected to all beginnings, when faith is not lost, yet already submitted to doubt. Some other times, angels are wax made, homely figures shut the door indiscreetly, get more and more of human weakness, become unworthy of Heavenly Peace and knowledge, sleep humbly in domestic hay, look like some homeless children, feeling old before time has come. The Vegetal Angel grows among tree branches, up to Heaven, but cannot get the liberty to levitate and falls to the ground, ripe, ripped, devoured or putrid. Humble and frail far from the Angelic emblem, mingled in human weakness, becomes the pale shadow of Divine, a mere ghost. His journey becomes almost hypnotic, death smelling wandering to the end of life, to a presumable Apocalypse. Angels save the poets from anxiety, willingly lend some of their abilities to earthly creators, sometimes give birth together to some monstrous half angelic creatures. Shabby figures, characters from Hitchcock`s movies come along the way. Reading more and more poetry, from time to time, an angelic angel comes to life, the original one, full of beauty and wisdom unattainable by human mind. This new poetry goes back to Alchemy and Magic, reshapes into the great creators pattern. Angels of the new poetry are immaterial or concupiscent, pure or full of lust. The angelic lover or the ironical angel, both created by an Angel - Artist. So, little by little, angels got lost among human beings under various disguise: Guardian Angel, Savior Angel, Intermediate Angel, confessor Angel, Therapist Angel - all dedicated to saving the Creation of their Creator.
