Summary/Abstract: Terminological continuities and discontinuities in linguistics: Moeschler, Munteanu, Coseriu. Linguistics is a matter which more and more arouses the interest of the foreign and Romanian scholars. The first half of the twentieth century represented the age of phonology, the second half of the same century was the time of semantics and the last three decades are the age of pragmatics. The present study aims to examine the way three linguists – Moeschler, Munteanu and Coseriu – deal with linguistics, each of them being the author of an introduction to this field. The perspective they generally assume is a diachronic one, with emphasis on the linguistics of the twentieth century, which obviously contains the most important theories.
