Summary/Abstract: In this article the authors offer an overview of the scope, methods and aims of the research project 'Croatian Migrant Communities: Belonging and Multiculturalism' (funded by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport), and especially in relation to the Croatian community in Australia. The desired result of the research project is to enable greater levels of contact between the Croatian community in Australia (and elsewhere) and Croatia, as well as the fostering of scholarly, cultural economic and other forms of co-operation.
