Summary/Abstract: In this article the author presents a sociological study of the Croatian community in Australia, focusing especially on patterns of settlement and the diversity of factors which underpin or influence those patterns. Also taken into account are the differing views, perceptions and values of Croatian settlers (and their descendents) in relation to different 'waves of arrival' in Australia.
