Syntactic-semantic structures of the verb andar in Galician

Summary/Abstract: In the present article the verb andar (to walk) is classified from the point of view of the different syntactic-semantic structures in the Galician language. This classification distinguishes between three basic levels. The cases when the verb andar functions as the auxiliary of a periphrasis. A dualist division between verbs of condition and verbs of movement. Finally, from the last mentioned typology we document some syntactic-semantic structures that allow one to speak about the different meanings of the verb andar.
