CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL REPERTOIRE OF THE VILLAGE PIANU DE JOS

Summary/Abstract: The paper is presenting the results of the field-surveys on the Pianu valley, in the area of the Pianu de Jos village, where several prehistoric sites were located. The first settlement is placed in the point called "Cleje" and it can be dated in the Early Bronze Age. A copper axe has also been found in the same area, during the agricultural labour. The second settlement is located in the place called "Câmpu de Mijloc" and it was inhabited during the Middle and Late Bronze Age (Wietenberg and Noua cultures) and in the First Iron Age (Basarabi culture).
