Summary/Abstract: Some important aspects of modern physics, mainly quantum mechanics, are presented, which may influence our perception on the world. The author argues, that the modern scientific world view is compatible with religious belief. The scientific and religious descriptions are complementary, in the meaning introduced by Niels Bohr.
