Summary/Abstract: Actually, it is a known fact that Foreign Direct Investment help the economic growth of host countries. Investors tend to invest directly rather than to export. Thus, they do not only gain greater control but also avoid barriers when tariffs are high. Host countries aim to attract more and more of these investments and therefore the initiatives taken by each country are numerous. The Albanian state undertook all measures to create a legal basis after the fall of the dictatorial system, which would enable the country, besides all numerous natural resources that it possessed, to be even more attractive, conveying legal certainty to investors. Laws, agreements, decisions, institutions, multiple instructions of these postcommunist years have made it possible for Albania to be quite a destination for foreign investors. In addition, the foreign policy of the Albanian state is oriented to engage maximally in strengthening good neighborly relations and regional integration. Albania is and will remain a reliable partner and an important factor in region that contributes to the preservation and strengthening of political and economic stability in the region and beyond.
