Summary/Abstract: My article is about bergsonien order of memory at the Romanian philosopher and essayist, Emil Cioran. My work will concern only the book The trouble to being born, 1971. At Bergson, the memory is “the survivor at the past images” (MM, 60) and the memory has an important role in the life. At Cioran, we have a conservatory memory or identical. If Bergson discuss in his philosophic book Matter and Memory (1896) about regressive memory, and a chronological order of the images of memory (164), at Cioran I want to see in which measure we’ll have a regressive memory that register all the events and classes them in a chronological order. To proof that, I will analyze 1) the memory of places and dated, 2) temporality circulation of childhood, 3) the refuge in the memory and historical time, and 4) denial of memory.
