Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the notion of «informational focus» in the English language, including «broad focus» and «narrow focus», as well as with multiple linguistic means of its expression. The main results of the phonetic experiment targeting focus realization in the English speech of Spanish-speaking bilinguals, studying English as a second language, are presented.
