Summary/Abstract: The dignity of human person demands – among other things – that in case of one’s death a proper burial is given. This obvious obligation seems to be somehow suspended, when it is an unborn child, who dies. Meanwhile, the Church is the only institution, which consequently defends the dignity and life of every unborn child. Its canon and liturgical law explicates strong conviction, that every human person’s dignity should be respected, also by a burial. Surprisingly, not all in the Church seem to appreciate that approach. The present study is to remind all about that moral obligation of this final sign of respect toward unborn.
