Summary/Abstract: Christian life rests predominantly upon experiencing communion with God. This communion becomes a metter of fact thanks to the redemptive misterium of Jesus Christ manifesting itself through Church. Christian mystics are peculiar witnesses to this truth. This paper presents how Sister Roberta Babiak’s mystical life started, developed and manifested itself. In the spiritual itinerary of this Polish mystic of the elary 20 th century, one can find evidence of a continous growth in her intimate communion with Christ as her Beloved. Her texts show progression in spiritual life and her experiencing the particular stages of mysticism: from expurgation through partial union up to transforming deifying union. Although not wellknow, the spiritual legacy of Sister Babiak is a tremendous example of nuptial mysticism In the Polish history of spirituality.
