Summary/Abstract: The aim of our paper is to examine the narrative strategy which contributed to a particularly effective, recent (2005), axiologically significant use of a literary device, typical for short works in the science fiction genre, called “punchline,” by a modern poet who also has a Ph.D in American Literature.
