Determination of the ratio of shares exchange in companies mergers

Summary/Abstract: Valuation of companies which agreed to merge is the basis for determining the ratio of shares exchange. This article presents methods of valuation of companies that can be used in business mergers. Besides, this article contains an example of the ratio of shares exchange which was determined in the merger of Getin Group and Getin Bank, which took place in June 2005.
