Summary/Abstract: Abstract: “Forty Years on Stage, Forty Years Serving People…” The Application of the Oral History Method in the Analysis of Radio Interviews With Actors in the 1950 and 60s The oral history is now undergoing its Renaissance. The method, essentially used for recording, organization, analysis and interpretation of narrated historical sources - in this case the audio files – but it can be used in many other areas. The present study is an attempt trying to extend the oral history research method in the theater research work. The paper tries to show the possibilities of using the method in the case of the archives to be found at Radio Târgu-Mureş, first of all audio files about important theatre events and in the analysis of two biographical interviews. The studied audio files complete the history of the Szekler Theatre and at the same time charter members` personal and artistic career can be followed at a certain period.
