Summary/Abstract: This article brings an overview of projects initiated or supported by donors and results achieved in fighting corruption in Balkans countries. Deficiency of visible results in fight against corruption has further weakened already low confidence in underdeveloped democratic institutions. It appears that the main obstacle to success of international project is grounded in suspected corruption of the officials in charge of implementation of such projects.
