Summary/Abstract: Personal documents by Kazimiera Alberti (1898—1962), stored in the IBL PAN library in Warsaw, constitute a precious source of information on writer’s involvement in shaping an interwar literary life. The author of Bunt lawin, apart from a writing-publishing, stage and columnist writing activity, conducted a very lively culture-creating activity. Often travels abroad, reporter’s sense and careful anthropological observations allowed her to give over 20 lectures. According to the binding convention, she tried to popularize cabaret. The idea to organize painting exhibitions, presenting the achievements of well-known Polish artists was born from her love to art. The poet was also an initiator and participant of literary evenings and intellectual‑artistic meetings which took place in her private flat in Biała. The majority of her forms of participation in culture were local in character, but played an important role. Kazimiera Alberti made a successful attempt to dynamize a literary life of province, especially Bielsko-Biała with which she was connected for about 8 years as a starost’s wife.
