Summary/Abstract: The name of the Czech prince, son of Bořivoj I. and Ludmila, who lived through the end of the 9th century, remains unclear. The paper contains the existing etymology of the name and also mentions its less known Old Church Slavonic form Spytavъ-gněvъ.
