Summary/Abstract: The contribution deals with the place name Remetodia related to the current Bulgarian municipality Orsoja. In the authors’ view the name is of Celtic origin. Till now it has been interpreted on the basis of the unexemplified personal name *Remetus, the authors, however, prefer the appellative meaning ,a place on the first, “pioneer” path’.
