Summary/Abstract: Multiword military terms most often undergo determinologization in texts about dispute, politics, economics. This process usually consists in a kind of semantic derivation, mostly metaphorization, which connections primarily functioning as military terms undergo in new contexts. It may occasionally happen that semantic derivation is additionally linked with formal modifications. Determinologization of military terms and bringing them into new contexts usually implies certain pragmatic functions.
