Summary/Abstract: The “logos” and “ethos” of education by standards of „universitas” and leading „ad hominis perfectionem” are to be restored in university. In doing this there is no other way than the restoration of the philosophical education which would be able to teach man to pass „from phenomenon to fundament” (John Paul II), and go beyond „experimental data in order to discover something absolute, ultimate, and fundamental, within its searching of truth” (Idem). Only metaphysics can meet this condition, because it is the philosophy that has the real world of persons and things as its proper object. Metaphysics is a science that „considers being as being and what essentially belongs to it; and it does not identify with any so called particular science” (Aristotle).
