Summary/Abstract: Communication is an important part of our life. Use of linguistic, paralinguistic and extralinguistic tools is very important part of it. Paralinguistic tools, which can be acoustical or optical, cooperate with speech. Acustical tools improve communicativeness and intelligibility of speech, lend it expressional strength, sugestiveness and attractiveness. Both acustical and sensual picture of continuous speech is created by intonation. Optical tools accompany speech. They brisk it up and help to make it more comprehensible. These tools are mime, gesticulation and other forms of body language. We should know influence of these elements and the way how to use them. Extralinguistic tools are non-linguistic factors which influence communication. Among these tools there is personality of speaker, audience, subject and arrangement of speech.
