Summary/Abstract: Nicolae Bobia gives his public a reading of Vladimir Tismăneanu's latest re-edited volume, from the perspective of possible interpretations of certain concepts and political strategies. The article highlights both the intellectual and the human quality of the reputed politologist, along with that of his interlocutors. The end-result stands out as an ethical and highly vertical plea for honesty and truth-seeking in the process of decoding one of the most complex and difficult historical crises - that of communism.
