Summary/Abstract: In some cases the jurisdition of a court benefits from an actual expansion, under a law, under a judgement or under a convention of the parties. The prorogation of jurisdiction occurs in the case in which a competent court to solve the request it was seized with by the plaintiff becomes competent under a law, under a judgement or under a convention of the parties to solve requests which regularly do not enter its jurisdiction. In connection with the doctrinary observations regarding the cases of legal prorogation of jurisdiction governed by the previous Code, but also considering the inovations of the New Civil Code in the field, we shall present the cases of legal prorogation of jurisdiction.
