Summary/Abstract: The article dwells on the parapsychology, on prophesies, horoscopes and the like used by the Serbian political elite, as some of the mechanisms of deceiving the masses and of keeping on power. The subject about the occult, parapsychological and forecasts is present both in the mass media, controlled by the governing class, and in some media, upholding the cause of the opposition political parties. These have been used to explain the chaos in the everyday life of Serbian society, as well as to interpret the political and economic problems on a global scale. Adducing numerous examples from the everyday life of Serbia and from the central media, the author succeeds in suggesting that the relationship between the supernatural and politics is a modern mechanism of deceit, whose purpose is to justify the isolation of the country from the international community and to boost the feeling of superiority over the others. Such a mechanism of deceit is positively accepted by the overwhelming part of society in Serbia, which justifies the author to define the system of administration as a specific form of neo-fascism.
